The minimalist, sculptural painting is a coded depiction of associated neighbourhoods—where I live, work and socialise—reduced to colour, shape and scale. The implementation of rudimentary visual design practice conveys a simplified yet meticulous, methodical and laborious approach to studio-based processes. Its protrusion from the wall—a deliberate disruption to the viewing route—directs the viewer’s presence within the space, like a map.
